Abstract:There is wide distribution of biohermite in the south of China,but the prediction of coral shoal facies reservoir is always the difficulty of oil/gas exploration.Based on the propagation feature of seismic waves in coral shoal-bearing strata,the paper presented using combination of time-frequency analysis technique with wave impedance inversion technique to carry out the prediction of coral shoal facies oil/gas reservoir.The time-frequency analysis technique can clearly describe the distribution of reservoir laterally,and wave impedance inversion has superiority describing the region of reservoir vertically,the combination of these two techniques can finely describe the distribution of coral shoal facies reservoir both laterally and vertically and oil/gas concentrating position and region.
