Non-hyperbolic time difference analysis of seismic exploration in the South Yellow Sea Basin

Abstract:In the paper,we calculate the traveling time of main formation interfaces in the South Yellow Sea,and analyze traveling time error characteristics with different time-distance equations under the long spread.After that,we evaluate the applicability of these equations.Since the time shifted hyperbolic equation is stable and simple with less traveling time error and clear parameters under the maximum offset in the area,we process long spread seismic data in the Wunansha uplift area with the equation.Results show that the time shifted hyperbolic equation can correct reflection events and remain more information of far offsets,and the seismic reflection imaging of marine sediments in the South Yellow Sea Basin is enhanced.
