Abstract:We establish in this paper anewcapillarymodel with reservoir wettability based on the seriescapillary model,and simulate numerically the in-duced polarization effect of oil-bearing reservoirrocks.The results show that reservoir wettabilityhas a significant influence on induced polarizationeffects of reservoir rocks.Polarizability of water-wet rocks is greater than that of oil-wet rocks un-der the same water saturation.The wetter the res-ervoir rock is,the stronger induced polarizationeffects it has.Reservoir physical parameter can af-fect the induced polarization effects of reservoirrocks as well,such as the solution concentration,the porosity and the canon exchange capacity,etc.The polarizability of oil-bearing reservoir rocks de-creases with the increase in the porosity and thesolution concentration. But it increases with theincrease in the canon exchange capacity under thecondition of oil wet,and it increases sharply atfirst and then decreases mildly under the conditionof water wet.
