Abstract:In the top Leikoupo unconformity surface in the area XC,Sichuan carbonate reservoirs were deeply buried with fractures,caverns and horizontal inhomogeneity.Their reflections on seismic section show low dominant frequency.So carbonate reservoir characteristics cannot be exactly described on conventional seismic sections.We adopt some new reservoir prediction technologies such as spectral decomposition and multi-attributes.First spectral decomposition technology transform time domain seismic data volume into frequency domain seismic data volume.Then hydrocarbon potential is examined on low frequency band,and multi-attributes such as RSI,phase,coherence,dip,azimuth and curvature are used to predict fracture belts.They were used comprehensively to reduce the multi-solution of prediction results.The following observations are obtained from the predictions:① The reservoir distribution is in NE belt. The thickest reservoir is located at Well Xins1,the thinnest one located at Well Xiaos1.Hydrocarbon bearing zone is mainly distributed in the western area.②Interlayer-net fractures were developed on the top Leikoupo unconformity surface reservoir. These fractures are extended upward to Xiaotangzi formation and downward to the middle Leikoupo formation.The fracture belt has important effect to transport oil and gas and improve the development of caverns reservoir.The prediction results are very well fitted with drilled results and provide important information for the future exploration.
