Seismic attribute optimization method and its application for fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoir

Abstract:Regarding the obvious anisotropy and inhomogeneity characteristics for the fractured-vuggy carbonate in Tarim Basin and based on the multiple stepwise discrimination method and kernel principal component analysis method,the seismic attributes optimization is conducted by integration of the two methods. By using 45 Well Block in middle Tarim Basin as pilot area,a prediction model is developed for fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoir in this area. In applying the model to the real data the attributes which are not sensitive to discrimination results are removed,all attributes are made not correlated with each other,and the non-linear problem among the attributes are dealt with very well,as a result the stability of the computation results is secured. When using real data to test the model,the model's average coincidence rate reaches 90.46%,this means that the model is reliable,and it provides an effective tool for seismic attribute optimization and fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoir studies.
