Abstract:The separation of fast wave from slow wave is one key technique in multiwave processing. The polarization azimuths of fast wave and slow wave,and their moveout may be used to detect and analyse formation fractures. Previous methods for separating fast wave from slow wave have some defects iri noise resistance,accuracy and so on. This method works iri the following procedure:·Deduce the relation between autocorrelation function and crosscorrelation function of radial component and transverse component..Derive prediction function from the relation..Obtain accurate polarization azimuth arid moveout by sweeping.The trial computation of multilayer anisotropy model proves this method right,and real data processing has brought obvious effect.
