Abstract:The geothermal conductivity of sedimentary rock is an important parameter for geophysicists to analyse geothermal distribution and geothermal evolution in a sedimentary basin,and it is an essential factor which controls geotherm and geothermal flux in hydrocarbon basin. Some methods are recommended which detect lithologies of sedimentary rocks in hydrocarbon basin by using different data of average density,compensated neutron,acoustic wave,natural gamma ray,natural potential,deep resistivity and neutron lifetime logs. Geophysicists estimated the lithologies and geothermal conductivities at different depths of the borehole sections,where various geophysical log data have been collected,in Y101 and Bl8 boreholes in the Dongying basin.
