Abstract:Trielectrode profiling method,whick is a DC resistivity method for locating high-resistance hydrocarbon reservoir,is put forward on the basis of trielectrode gradient method.In this new method,all electrodes are planted on ground surface.To speak exactly,one power supply electrode is planted at "infinite far" point,and the another one keeps a constant distance with observation electrodes M and IV(They move along survey line one station by one station in resistivity observation).Theoretical analysis and water trough modeling show that as is seen in trielectrode gradient method,the new method removes effectively various noises,highlights anomaly relating to hydrocarbon reservoir,and locates reservoir boundary.In addition,by using the new method in old oil fields,people can use multitudinous borehole casing pipes as electrodes to predict both deep hydrocarbon reservoir and the reservoirs which underlie high-resistance shielding beds.
