Abstract:In gravimetric and magnetic data interpretation,potential field transformation in frequency domain is often done so as to highlight useful anomaly and distinguish different anomaly sources.The high frequency amplification of transformation facfor incurs unstability of potential field processing,thus additional filter is needed to suppress high frequency noises.We have found that sampling interval is also an important factor for stable potential field processing.Resampled grouping method is presented then.In the method,discrete data are resampled in equal interval to re-group,each group is taken as an unit for transformation processing,and the processing results of all groups are synthesized to produce the final transformation result we want.Without losing the original informations,the method can improve the transformation factor and raise the stability of potential field transformation.Analytic continuation tests prove the method convenient and very effective.
