Abstract:The limestone reservoirs in north China and Sichuan basin have big geologic hydrocarbon reserves and high production in single borehole;therefore,they are major exploration areas where subtle hydrocarbon traps will be discovered success- fully. On the basis of petrophysical property of limestone reservoir,we advance a method for predicting a dense pore-fractured zone in limestone reservoir by comprehensively analysing the instantaneous dynamic informations,relative interval velocity,and by using frequency-time spectrum scanning. This method removes the limnation and multisolution which occur in reservoir prediction using single petrophysical parameter,and visually know the lateral and vertical distributions of dense pore-fractured zone in a limestone reservoir. It is simpler than other prediction methods.This method has been used to predict dense pore-fractured zone in limestone reservoir in ZX buried hill area,and brought good prediction effect and economic benefit.
