Abstract:Since basic physical features of natural gas has different responses on logging traces acquired by different logging approaches, synthesizing the response feature of multiple logging traces can reflect the production capacity of natural gas. The paper gave an approach using comprehensive index of distinguishing natural gas to predict production capacity of natural gas, which bases on acoustic, density and neutral logging data and takes deep-to-shallow impedance logging value ratio or natural gamma or spontaneous potential curves as constraint conditions, and implemented prediction of production capacity for untested zones based on the studied results of practical logging data and test data. The index area approach introduced in the paper is still an approximate method and has a certain errors between the predicted results and practical test results, which is needed to further study.
