Abstract:The Dongpu depression in Bohai basin is a hydrocarbon-abundant depression, whose central uplift belt has major hydrocarbon accumulations. The central uplift belt underwent a series of structural evolution:fault block tilting, gravity slumping, inverse drag, rock salt uplifting and so on. Fault block tilting resulted in subzones, low uplift zone and high uplift zone in right handed echelon patterniri Weicheng,Weriliu and Qiaoma areas. Gravity slumping created wide gravity slump faults, multitudinous faulted noses cut by faults dipping with the bed, arid reverse drag anticlines. Reverse dragging produced some faulted noses iri fault terrace background. Rock salt uplifting caused grabenhorst superposed structure, which has salt anticline, faulted block due to the faults dipping against the beds, arid lithologic hydrocarbon trap iri the deep part, arid irieludes inward-dipping terrace faults and a series of faulted blocks due to faults dipping against beds in the shallow prat.Multiple structural evolutions caused different geological structures and various hydrocarbon accumulations. It is illustrated that the corretation analysis of structural evolution to hvdrocarbon occurrence is an effective method for raising hydrocarbon exploration efficiency in this structural belt.
