Abstract:Seismic trace gathering has been being the most troublesome in data processing and the quality control of data acquisition. Complicated variation of surface condidons makes the trace gathering very difficult because various field layouts are often used for a single seismic line and there randomly occur densified shots,waste shots and useless traces. I-fence,I recommend two new methods for layout note data listing and for good trace gathering. In software design and application,interactive operation and monitoring are taken,and the optimal use of internal storage is considerect to make the softwares suitable to the personal computer which has less internal storage. The replacement of trace gather tape by trace gather library allows field crew to do desirable layout data listing and trace gathering by using personal computer instead of on-site data processor,so that field crew offers computer center the diskettes in which there are all necessary layout data for seismic data processing.It has been shown that the methods can be used to make trace gathering and layout data listing very satisfactory during fie;d data acquisition in complicated surface conditions.
