Abstract:The forward modeling of gravity field of density-variable source body with complex shape is a very important problem in gravimetric data interpretation,B spline function methods for calculating gravity fields of 2D and 3D density-variable source bodies with complex shape are developed on the basis of interpolation,derivation and integration of B spline function.Synthetic model and real data calculations using node-nonuniform curbic B spline function show that this method is feasible and brings accurate result.
