Abstract:2D seismic data .All the wells were disappointing except well Guan-66 that produced industrial oiI flow.The reason why no oil flow was found in these wells is that people had not ascertained the geological structure, trap type and lithology distribution in that area.Later on, 3D seismic survey was done in the area of 40.39 km2 . 3D seismic data show higher signal-noise ratio, clear faulting points, reliable minor faults, highlighted target and quite continuous reflection legs.Litho-industrial oil flow. Furthermore, testing was made again in some wells in which no industrial oil flow had been found; consequently, new oil reservoirs were discovered 3D seismic survey not only speeded the exploration and development of Duanliuba oil field but also reaped quite good economic effect. logic data were also offered.After a comprehensive interpretation of 3D seismic data, four exploratory wells were drilled, two of which had industrial oil flow. Furthermore, testing was made again in some wells in which no industrial oil flow had been found; consequently, new oil reservoirs were discovered 3D seismic survey not only speeded the exploration and development of Duanliuba oil field but also reaped quite good economic effect.
