Abstract:Dispersive wave can be often seen in seismic record, Dispersive wave contains many lit:hology informations, such as the velocity,thickness and absorption coefficient of surface layer, etc, The inversion method for dispersive wave is advanced here to get these infororations, it includes th;, forward modeling of dispersive record, obtaining the dispersive curve and iteration operation, The dispersive process is essentially a filtering process, The inversion of dispersive wave is to perform the all-pass inverse filtering of dispersive wave record to guarantee that trace-to-trace waveform difference after theinverse filtering is minimum in the sense of least square, This isachieved by performing iteration operation,The initial dispersive curve may be obtained from actual seismic record, The revision of iteration parameters depends on the type of dispersive wave: the velocity of shear wave from surface layer is revised in the case of dispersive Rayleigh wave inversion, and the depth of urface layer is modified when Love wave inversion is performed.
