Abstract:The author expounds the concepts of S/N and S/(S+N)in time domain,and also shows the relations between the two concepts and visual S/N or visual resolution in frequency domain, which were put farward by Mr,Li Qingzhang in 1986.Wavelet resolutions in time domain and frequency domain are defined respectively.The optimum linear inverse filtering is detailed, It is demonstrated that same inverse filtering methods are the special cases of the optimum inverse filtering, The author deems from his analysis that the optimum inverse filtering can not always improve signal-noise ratio in time damain,but sometime decreases signal-noise ratio.He paints out that it is necessary to dem- onstrate conceptually the difference between decanvolutian and convalulion decomposition,The research subjects in convolution decomposition are put forward.
