Abstract:Theoretical data shows that oil-bearing traps are characterized on contuor maps of normalized gravity gradient with high values along the trap edges and low values at the tops.This phenomenon is not found on the corresponding maps of non-productive structures The test data from the oil-bearing trap RW tells us that such regularity can give rise to well predictive results. In practice, the observational accuracy of the gradient should be with in 0.2 milligal and observation lines should not be too long. Generally speaking, the spacial range of the real body is smaller than that of the anomaly appearing on the map, The real depth is greater than the calculated one, and the spacial location is slightly offset as an effect of the regional anomalies.The interpreter plays the role in describing the real world with the best model.
