Abstract:Spiking deconvolution is based on minimum phase wavelet assumption. Inpulsive excitation roughly satisfies this assumption. A scanning signal from vibroseis is correlated with reference one to give tise to a correlation record. The ideal wavelet on the correlation record should be a Klander wavelet with zero phase. Consequently, the first break of the correlation record is earlier than the real one after conventional spiking deconvolution.The time difference is related to the frequency of the wavelet in such a way that the lower the frequency is the larger the time shifts. Therefore, zero ghase deconvolution is suitable for vibroseis data. Presented in the gager is the application of zero phase deconvolution module TYDEP and its results.
