Abstract:Convolution method is a filtering method used to extract fault information from observed gravity field by adopting known theoretical wavelet.The second derivative curve of the gravity field can be used as filtering factor so us to improve resolution.12 faults and 4 fault blocks in LS area were ascertained by processing detailed gravity survey data of 1000 Km2 with this method,Comparedwith drilling and seismic data,this result only has the fault location deviation of 1-2 Km.
