Abstract:In this paper based on high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy, sedimentology and structural geology, several technical analysis means were used to conduct high-resolution Sequence strata classification, fan identification, sedimentary facies studies, and reservoir prediction studies in Block 260D in Aryskum Depression of South Turgai Basin in Kazakhstan. The means include 3-dementional Sequence strata studies and geological body pattern recognition system, drilling Sequence strata classification, automatic subzone tracking, Wheeler domain transformation, seismic multi-attribute extraction and integrated analysis technique and so on. The research and studies results pave the way for further lithology reservoir exploration in the Depression in the future.
