Analysis on wave equation seismic directional illumination

Abstract:Starting from the theory of seismic wave energy,the paper presented seismic wavefield directional decomposition method based on Poynting vector and computational method of seismic wave directional illumination.The energy density vector and energy propagation direction are computed on the basis of high-precision forward simulation of acoustic wave equation,the directional decomposition of wavefield is implemented by filter in angle domain,and the source and source-receiver directional illumination can be further computed based on directionally decomposed wavefield.The numeric model test showed that the method is characterized by the computation with high-precision and fast-speed and very good practice,the directional illumination can be used to quantitatively analyze the influence of seismic acquisition parameters on the imaging quality,and the distribution of illuminating angle of targets at CRP points can be used for the analysis of seismic resolution.
