Abstract:Paramet ricevolving of signal ( PRO ) technique is a new seismic processing technique developed by Russian geophysicist. Coming from the basic PRO principle, the paper brifly introduced the PRO velocity analysis principle. PRO velocity analysis and imaging are based o nellipse expansion of signal and paramet ricevolving, among which the latter considers the change of propagation velocity by wave mode conversion and lateral non-uniform of medium. The method throws away the -idea of traditional common mid-poit ( CMP) stack and solves at root the difficulty met by traditional seismic processing technology based on CMP method. It is proved by model and real case analyses that the PRO method has superiority over the traditional CMP method.
