Method for identifying fluid property in volcanite reservoir

Abstract:The vulcanite reservoir is characterized by complex lithology and variety of pore structure,which brought about difficulty in identifying and evaluating the lithology of volcanite reservoir.Taking deep volcanite reservoir in Daqing Oilfield as object and on the basis of studying the logging response of strata with different fluids,the paper used crossplot and tri-porosity curve overlapping method to qualitatively identify gas-bearing bed and used triple porosity model to quantitatively compute the water saturation of reservoir.The results of testing of gas are consistent to computed results,which showed these methods are feasible in identifying the fluid property of volcanite reservoir.
