Abstract:In Inner Mongolia, the grassland areas are ecologically fragil due to serious desertification. Under this condition, the requirements for grassland protection are more and more rigorous with the gradual completion of grassland protection laws and regulations. Correspondingly, the required compensation for grassland damage caused by oil and gas exploration is higher and higher. Therefore, it is imperative to carry out environment friendly exploration in grassland areas. In order to meet the environmental protection requirements of grassland areas in Inner Mongolia, non-seismic prospecting methods are improved and optimized by improving electromagnetic prospecting equipment, construction methods and environment friendly comprehensive geophysics prospecting methods. With the improvement of measurement precision and problem solving capacity of non-seismic prospecting methods, environment friendly non-seismic prospecting methods which have less damage on grasslands shall be adopted in oil and gas exploration as much as possible, and the seismic prospecting methods which have more damage on grasslands shall be optimized or their impacts shall be minimized. Following the application of these methods, environment friendly exploration and new petroleum discoveries are efficiently realized in a number of sags such as Aer Sag in the Erlian Basin, Inner Mongolia.
