Spectrum imaging technique and its application based on matching pursuit algorithm

Abstract:MMP algorithm by Liu was studied in this paper,the fixed scale parameter in the algorithm was modified to a flexible scale so the EMMP algorithm was formed and the practicability and flexibility of the MMP algorithm was raised.The theoretical model verification and the results for the field data application show the following conclusions:(1):Compared with some traditional algorithms,such as STFT,WT and so on,EMMP has higher time-frequency resolution,(2):The atom structure in EMMP algorithm has free scale,the atom's structure is more flexible,determination of the optimal scale which can not be solved in MMP algorithm got resolved,as a result the time-frequency atom library could have better matching ability for the non-stationary seismic signal.(3):The spectrum imaging results by EMMP and MMP algorithms for the seismic data in ZH area and JH area in QK Depression show that EMMP algorithm has higher lateral resolution than that of MMP algorithm,the frequency division slices which correspond to the main reflection frequency of the igneous rock could clearly delineate the boundary of the igneous rock reservoir.
