Abstract:The severe discronous phenomenon exist in the seismic isochronous correlation for the fluvial facies strata in the short term and super short term cyclone, resulting in difficulty for the research on the lateral distribution of the fluvial facies sandbodies. It is proposed in the seismic sedimentology that the slicing technique in the Wheeler domain plays a major role in the research, with the new thought of the isochronous correlation between local area/same sedimentary system constrained by regional isochronous strata grid and the short term cyclone the isochronous correlation and tracking for the short term cyclone interface was realized on the frequency division sections,by combining the short term cyclone time window-varying extraction technique in the Wheeler domain, the sediment micro-facies distribution map of the short-term cyclone was accurately delineated, the accuracy of the fluvial facies reservoir research was raised.By taking the fluvial reservoir prediction for the Lower Shihezi Formation in D gas field in Ordos Basin as the example, the application process of the related theory and technical methods in Seismic Sedimentology was elaborately described in this paper.
