Abstract:As a basic and key process in seismic exploration,denoising will highlight reservoir architecture and geological structure characteristics and their direction features,such as their spatial distribution and interior details,faults,and fractures.We propose in this paper an integrated volumetric curvature analysis based on a new Gaussian filtering.Considering the complex diversity of reservoirs and geological structures,we first derive the anisotropic Gaussian iterative smoothing filtering from the classical Gaussian filtering and put forward its algorithm.Then we discuss an analysis to measure anisotropic seismic volumetric curvature.Finally we build a workflow combining these two methods,and obtain volumetric curvature of 3D seismic data.Real data examples demonstrate that the proposed approach can suppress background noise interference and highlight geological anomalies of interest in specific directions.
