Abstract:The geometry design based on horizontal layers in the past cannot meet today's needs of seismic exploration.Recent illumination for geometry optimization is limited for geometry evaluation. In this article,we propose a new idea of maximum offset design based on maximize illumination energy efficiency.According to relationship analysis between received energy and receiving efficiency,we find the maximum offset by maximizing receiver illumination energy efficiency.Simulating shooting on a geological model with targets,we build an optimizing and compromising connection between received energy and receiving efficiency and obtain optimal maximum offset. The experiment on a geological model and model with fault depression and overthrust built from a work area shows that this illumination geometry design approach gets better results.
