Abstract:The formation pressure prediction based on Fillipone formula is widely used before drilling because of its advantages such as simple algorithm,its independence on drilling data,and normal compaction trend.However rock high- and low-velocity limits in Fillipone formula are empirical or limited.To solve this problem,rock high- and low-velocity limits are calculated based on drilling data with Voigt model and Reuss model.Then accurate velocity and density are obtained with a joint logging and seismic inversion,and the high-precision formation pore pressure prediction can be achieved in complex-lithology areas effectively.The proposed approach achieves good results in the applications.
