Abstract The paper uses log-constraint inversion technique to predict the reservoir and cap in LZ21-4 structural belt situated in the part of northern sub-sag of Liaozhong sag.The 4 sets of reservoir and cap combination are interpreted on three groups of reflections T3AU, T3BU and T3CU in upper Ed Formation.Analysis and evaluation of three single sand bodies discovered on T3BU and T3CU reflections are carried out respectively. It is considered that No.2 sand body on T3CU of LZ21-4 structural belt has good physical character of reservoir and cap condition. The No.2 sand body on T3CU of LZ21-1S structural belt situated in southern part of above structure has also good reservoir conditions.
