Abstract Lagging trace is integrative response of multi-ple data in strata, and the logging traces in differ-ent frequency scale show the different shapes andreflect different geologic and sedimentary features.Facing the complex continental facies reservoirstructure, the paper presented frequency-shared ap-proach:first, according to the response characterof logging trace, the paper analyzed the correlationof petrophysical parameters with geologic featureof the reservoir in different frequency scales, provi-ding basis for petrophysical frequency-shared in-version and lateral variation of sedimentary facies;large scale(low frequencies)components reflectthe feature of series of strata, mid-small scale(mid-higher frequencies)components reflect local finefeature;the reaction of non-homogeneity and oil/gas-bearing ability of reservoir on small scale tom-ponents are more sensitive. On that basis, non-lin-ear joint inversion of petrophysical parameters indifferent frequency scales was carried out, gettinghigh-resolution petrophysical inversive results, which showed that the approach can improve thelateral prediction precision and spatial description of reservoir.
