Image domain travel-time tomography velocity inversion based on automatic picking

Abstract:This paper proposes an image domain travel-time tomography velocity inversion method,which uses the angle domain common imaging gathers(ADCIGs) by prestack depth migration with wave equation double square root operator as the gathers of velocity analysis,and obtains accurate travel-time residual by automatic fitting picking strategy of residual curvature.The paper not only presents the main methodology of automatic fitting picking strategy in ADCIGs,but also provides the implementation of image domain tomography inversion.Examples of this method from the synthetic dataset and real dataset show a high precision and efficiency of velocity inversion.
