Abstract:In recent years, much progress of broadband seismic data acquisition and processing has been made in marine exploration. In order to widen seismic bandwidth and suppress ghost on low and high frequency seismic data, new approaches are developed. For seismic source, over/under air-gun arrays and multi-depth sources are introduced. And for seismic recording, over/under streamers, variable-depth streamers, and dual-sensor streamers have increasingly been used. All of these new approaches can improve seismic data resolution and SNR, and furthermore lay a solid foundation for improving seismic imaging and inversion.
