Abstract:Typical continental shale oil is developed in the Chang 7 member of the Triassic Yanchang Formation in Huanxian,which is located in the southwest of Ordos Basin. In this area,the Chang 71 and Chang 72 reservoirs are the main targets for shale oil exploration and development. The shale oil re-servoirs in the two sections are a lithological combination of shale mixed with multi-phase thin silty fine sandstone. The single sand body is thin with mostly 3~5m,and lateral changes of reservoirs are fast,which leads to difficult prediction based on seismic data. On the basis of 3D seismic data,this paper analyzes seismic response characteristics of different types of reservoirs and employs the seismic attribute extraction and analysis technology provided by the GeoEast interpretation system. The distribution of oil sand bodies in the Chang 71 and Chang 72 members of the shale is described finely through attribute optimization and multi-attribute fusion. Additionally,the advantages of single-frequency phase-shift attributes in identifying thin reservoirs and fluids are leveraged to predict the shale oil reservoirs. The single-frequency phase-shift seismic attribute analysis technique has been applied to the trajectory design and guidance while drilling of horizontal wells in the Huanxian area and has yielded good results.
