5D regularization technology and its application in Block Agadem, Niger

Abstract:During the multi-survey joint processing of seismic data on Block Agadem,Niger,spatial aliasing and acquisition footprints occur as different acquisition years,instruments,bins, and surface conditions result in the differences in fold,azimuth,signal-to-noise ratio, and phase among the data on the three work areas. Consequently,migration noise is induced and further affects the imaging effect. For this reason,the relevant data should be regularized to eliminate these differences and influences. This paper analyzes the spectral leakage of irregular sampled data,outlines the basic principle of data regularization based on the anti-leakage Fourier transform (ALFT) of the GeoEast system,presents the steps of seismic data regularization of the ALFT technology in GeoEast,and shows the application effect of this technology in the multi-survey joint processing of seismic data of Block Agadem in Niger.
