Application of fusion seismic acquisition,processing,and interpretation technology in shale oil exploration in Cangdong Sag

Abstract:The seismic data acquired in the early years of Ek2 in Cangdong Sag feature low resolution and narrow effective frequency bands,which is difficult to meet the geological research needs of shale oil sweet spot layers. To make up for the data gap caused by the influence of surface conditions on the newly acquired data,this paper proposes a model-based fusion acquisition technology of new and old 3D observation systems,and a multi-period and multi-domain fusion processing technology of new and old data to form a data volume with wide azimuth,high density,and even sampling. Additionally,the signal-to-noise ratio of seismic data is signi-ficantly improved,the frequency band is widened by more than 10Hz,and the reflection characteristics of the shale oil stratum are clear. The prediction accuracy of sweet spots is greatly improved through seismic multi-attribute fusion,discrete lithology inversion,and brittleness prediction based on pre-stack elastic inversion technology. As the drilling box of the sweet spot section of horizontal wells is more accurate from 36m to 10m and the drilling rate of Class Ⅰ sweet spot layers increases from 85% to 96%,the industrial development of continental shale oil is initially realized.
