Abstract:Acoustic assumption is insufficient to the processing arid interpretation of seismic sections in violent inhomogeneous complicated area; therefore, elastic effect should be considered. In nowadays, people pay more and more attention to elastic wave equation in physical seismology study, Besides practical use, two reasons are worthy to be noticed. First, elastic wave equation is not only the deepening arid gerieralination of acoustic wave equation (acoustic wave equation is a special case of elastic wave equation when μ=0) but also the basis for us to research into anisotropy and relevant problems. Second, the rapid development of computer technique makes possible the quantitative analyses of elastic wave, anisotropy and viscoelasticity problems. The way to solve for spaeial derivative by using Fourier transform is called ghost spectral method. Having made reference to related (literatures at home and abroad, we concisely describe the principle and procedure of numerically solving for elastic wave equation in two-dimensional medium with the use of ghost spectral method. Furthermore, we use ghost spectral method to calculate seismic wave sections of four models, and sufficiently show that the method is correct and effective in elastic wave modeling and seismic data interpretation.
