Abstract:Elastic parameters can be extracted by AVO inversion based on AVO characteristics. Using large offset data helps to improve the ill-posed nature of the three-term AVO inversion. Since large offset data is seriously affected by tuning effect, AVO characteristic is distorted leading to a low-precision inversion result. Therefore, this paper studies the tuning effect mechanism of the prestack gathers. Based on the thought of scale wavelet decomposition, we add a scale constraint item to the objective function to suppress low-frequency component of seismic data and weaken the tuning effect of AVO characteristics. So the precision of inversion result can be improved. Tests on both synthetic and real data show the feasibility of this algorithm.
