Abstract:As a geometric attribute to describe the bending degree for a geologic body, the curvature attribute is proportional to the stress degree of the geologic body,as a result it is highly relevant to the fracture's development characteristics formed by the stress. In this paper the A Block in the middle of Kunbei area in Qaidam Basin was taken as study area and the AAPSI software from Oklahoma Mining University was utilized to extract the curvature attributes of the seismic reflection surface, such as maximum curvature, minimum curvature, maximum positive curvature, maximum negative curvature and so on,then based on the effective curvature attributes selected by attribute optimization process,a suitable solution for this area in which the curvature attributes were utilized to predict the fracture-developed zone was found out in this paper.
