Abstract:Since more discoveries in Tertiary are found out in Bohai Bay Basin,deep targets draw more attention in the hydrocarbon exploration. We propose in the paper a new approach to identify buried hills on gravity data in Area SH,in which 3D seismic surveys were conducted. Firstly,we build a geological model based on drilling,logging and seismic data. Then we discuss the relationship among velocity,density,and depth based on logging data. Finally we calculate gravity anomaly response of all the layers by gravity data forward modeling,and we obtain gravity anomaly of buried hills with the correlation between Bouguer gravity anomaly response and a specific layer. Based on the relation between model size and gravity response,we can determine gravity response variation with burial hill size and depth,which provides a reliable reference for seismic interpretation.
