Abstract:Changxing reef reservoirs in Yuanba area are vertically superimposed on multiple stages,and their internal architectures are very complex. So it is difficult to finely depict them. In order to optimize well locations,we carry out a research on complicated reef reservoir geometry and propose an approach to depict reef reservoirs. This approach consist of:reef cognition with well facies,seismic response pattern building with forward modeling,reservoir horizontal distribution prediction with the analysis of ancient landform,seismic attributes,reservoir multi-parameters,and fine depict of reef internal architectures with 3D visualization. The proposed approach is applied to Changxing reef reservoirs in Yuanba area. Well deployment optimization based on our prediction greatly improves drilling results. The coincidence rate of reservoir thickness predicted by the proposed approach reaches 88.6%.
