Abstract:This paper introduces a method for 3D multiple suppression based on event tracing.First we use 3D high resolution stack velocity spectrum to improve the tracing accuracy.Quasi multiple records are built with traced multiple events.Then we achieve the multiple suppression in short windows by f-k filtering on these quasi multiple records.Synthetic and field data tests show that the proposed method achieves better multiple suppression than high-resolution parabolic Radon transform.Moreover,the proposed method has the computational efficiency significantly higher than the high-precision parabolic Radon transform.So this method is more suitable for 3D multiple suppression of massive seismic data.
