Abstract Cable ghost can be well suppressed and data S/N ratio can be much improved when dual-sensor seismic acquisition is adopted. And over-under streamer acquisition can not only enhance data low-frequency components but also broaden data high frequency components. We use both dual-sensor and over-under streamer to conduct a test acquisition in Chaoshan Depression, Northern South China Sea, and then carry out a joint processing of the seismic data. Compared with conventional seismic, our test results show that the proposed acquisition and joint processing can obtain data from middle and deeper layers with stronger reflection energy, more continuous events, and higher S/N ratio, and data is well imaged.
