Abstract:In middle-shallow layers of Bohai Sea area,most of fault systems are extremely complicated.Conventional seismic interpretation methods are not efficient,fault combinations cannot be well depicted.The variance or coherent attributes often used in fault interpretation,they do not work when faults are in deeper strata.These attributes are no longer satisfied with fault combination in that depth.According to geological characteristics of the study area,this paper proposes a set of high-definition (HD) ant-tracking volume generation techniques.Conventional ant-tracking focuses on only one-parameter optimization.Our new approach is different,it emphasize the improvement of fault continuity and noise removal.According to two kinds of parameter combinations optimized,multiple ant-tracking attributes are extracted from the data volume,accompanied by several steps of de-noising methods.Finally,the HD ant-tracking volumes are obtained,which match very well with faults in study area.With the proposed approach,470 fault combinations are confirmed in a short time and the fault interpretation is improved,which lays a solid foundation for trap searching.
